Milan, 19 October 2026. Technology consultancy SEIDOR has won the SAP AI Agent Challenge Italy 2026 with Intelligent Quote Sourcing, an artificial intelligence agent developed through collaboration between its teams in Spain and Italy. The solution is designed to simplify supplier selection and link quotation analysis to the preparation of purchase requisitions within SAP enterprise management systems. The award was presented during SAP NOW AI Tour Milan 2026.
SEIDOR had previously been selected as one of six finalists in the competition, launched by SAP to encourage the development of artificial intelligence agents that address business needs. The winning proposal tackles a common process in organisations: coordination between sales and procurement teams to identify the best supply terms and meet customer needs.
From quotation comparison to purchase requisition
Supplier selection involves assessing a range of factors beyond price, including product availability, delivery times and commercial terms. Traditionally, this process requires consulting different sources of information, comparing alternatives and coordinating several departments before a decision can be made.
To address this challenge, SEIDOR developed Intelligent Quote Sourcing using SAP Joule, SAP's artificial intelligence assistant. Starting from a request expressed in natural language, the agent is designed to analyse the available options and recommend the most suitable one based on established business criteria, while explaining the reasons behind its recommendation.
Its contribution goes beyond comparing quotations. The solution also provides for the preparation of purchase requisitions in SAP S/4HANA, SAP's enterprise management system, once the user has approved the recommendation. In this way, it connects information analysis with task execution within the business environment, while keeping key decisions under human supervision.
This approach brings together activities that have traditionally required repeated exchanges of information between sales and procurement teams, with the aim of reducing administrative workloads and enabling a faster response to business needs.
Greater focus on strategic activities
The project highlights the potential of AI agents to handle repetitive activities and support better-informed purchasing decisions. The ability to analyse different commercial terms, apply consistent criteria and explain recommendations can help strengthen cost control, decision-making consistency and traceability.
By reducing the effort involved in gathering and comparing information, solutions of this kind can also free up resources for higher-value activities, such as supplier negotiations, procurement planning and managing business relationships.
Intelligent Quote Sourcing also illustrates how the use of artificial intelligence in business is evolving. Unlike tools focused on providing answers or automating isolated tasks, AI agents are designed to participate in different stages of a process, interpret needs, propose actions and carry out previously authorised operations.
This approach is aligned with SAP's Autonomous Enterprise vision, which aims to embed artificial intelligence into enterprise management systems to enable business processes with greater analytical capabilities, automation and supervised autonomy.
Recognition within the SAP ecosystem
The award received in Italy also reflects international collaboration across SEIDOR's teams. The project brought together the knowledge and capabilities of professionals in Spain and Italy to develop an innovative solution for business processes, highlighting the value of working together across the organisation.
The accolade adds to the 30 awards SEIDOR has received in 2026 at the SAP Partner Excellence Awards and SAP PES Americas Partner Awards, recognising its capabilities in areas such as business transformation, SAP Cloud ERP, Business AI and commercial excellence.
SEIDOR's relationship with SAP, which began in the mid-1990s, has been one of the pillars of its international growth. Today, the consultancy operates in 45 countries, combining its expertise in enterprise management systems with capabilities in cloud, data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
